Default Tool to track IDE channel utilisation?

Is there a simple tool that tracks the following stats?

a) peak utilisation (over a certain period) in terms of MB/sec
b) average utilisation

I would like to find out how hard the DVD burner is pushing the IDE chennels.

TIA.
