Question re Liteon oem cd burner

Without thinking
CatBird spewed forth with the following drivel

have a new Compaq PC w/ a Liteon oem (no headphone jack/vol cntrl)
52X24X52 burner. Is this a pretty decent piece or should I substitute
something else like a Plextor, which I have had good luck with in the
past ?
BTW there's also a Liteon oem cd rom so the lack of headphone jack/vol
cntrl is not a problem.

Why replace it? Liteon is a quality product and it performs as well as most
burners. Why change something that does the job?

Lite-On drives are probably as good or better than Plextor drives in most
respects these days..
