Default After CD-Rom install-puter won't boot?!

Hi,
I have an old Deskpro 4000/5133 16Mb Ram Win95a
In Windows it shows dual channel and dual fifo.
Bios shows IDE controller (embedded)
If I connect 12V and 5V connector-it will boot.
When I connect to secondary channel-it will not even start BIOS
screen, just some chatter from the HDD.

Thanks for any ideas,
brane_d

The more I've seen with that problem is that people are using original Compaq
ribbon cables and configures drives as master/slaves when it should be set as
cable select on all drives. What determines which one is master or slave is
which connector you are conecting the drives.
