Default Recording

I have been unable to record from Line-In with Nero 6. The equalizer shows
that something is being recorded but I can't hear anything on playback.

If Nero can't do this, can anyone recommend an alternative?

Just use the software that came with your soundcard to record from Line-In.
Then burn the wav files as normal. I recommend cleaning the sound before
though; record some silence from Line-In to use it as a "Noise Shape" to do
noise removal.

I have tried this and still get no sound. Is there a setting in the control
panel that I need to change?

Thanks for any help

You need to set the controls to listen to what's being recorded.
Check to see if the boxes are checked on your sound card software for
monitoring "record" rather than monitor "playback".
