Default Need ECDC 3.5c download

Please don't ask. ;-) But where can I find ECED 3.5c?

I lost it when I bought a new computer and my HP Application Recovery no
longer works. I need it because it produced the best jewel case inserts PLUS
I've abou 100 such files that are still valid if only I had ECDC 3.5c to
access them.

I know it's no longer published by Roxio, but the later Roxio, Fiero, etc.,
programs can't handle those old format.

Thanks for *helpful* suggestions...

Don.

Got an old copy somewhere. Let me know before I start rooting through
stuff, that you want it.

I am pretty sure that the application is incompatible with Windows XP, so
you may not be able to install it.
For your new inserts, Surething CD Labeller is in a class of its own.

Easy CD Creator Blows Up on Win XP

Easy CD Creator blows up on Win XP because it's "not designed" for it:

Adrian Miller (cRoxio):

Ezcd 3.5c blows up because it's not designed for ...
Aspi kills because it's not designed for ...

Only trashy Acraptec or cRoxio can foist up as argument that since
something was not designed for, it "blows up" or "kills".

Applying the "not designed" argument to any current version of Easy CD
Coaster Creator on XP:

Any current version of Easy CD Coaster Creator is not designed
for use on XP and is liable to blow up in your face.

They don't say the following for nothing:

Roxio is the Firestone of CDR software

If your new computer is running XP, don't even think of it. I don't
believe even version 4 supported XP. I think 3.5 only supported NT and
Win9x. Trying to use it on XP, if it would even let you install it,
would probably not work at all, or even mangle Windows so bad you yould
need to reinstall it.

Do you have Easy Coaster Creator 3.5 on xp?

Easy CD Cremator 3.5 blows up even on win2k:

When I first upgraded to XP I went to the Microsoft Compatibility
pages and found some steps I could follow to simulate a Win9x
environment for ECDC 3.5. It worked...the install went normally,
and I can open the program and look at my old layouts.

This is a *new* computer with Win98SE installed at my insistence.
Someone mentioned I'll have to install ??? (the standard program for
burning CDs). Can you comment on that first? Actually, though, I don't
want to use ECDC for /burning/ anything, just for the _jewel case
layout_ work.

Thanks for the offer, I'll wait for an answer to that quesiton above.

BUT, will it read the ECDC *.cls format layouts I already have and don't
want to lose? My OS is Win98SE.

When the .cls is so proprietary that not even cRoxio knows the format
even between sub-sub versions?

I created some CD images in ECDC 5.0 some time ago where
ECDC 5.0 created .CIF and .CL5 files.

However, after updating from ECDC 5.0 to 5.02b,
the .CL5/.CIF files are no longer readable.

Will ECDC 5.1 be able to read previous .CL5/.CIF files
created by ECDC 5.0 through 5.02b?

ECDC 5 will be able to use or convert ECDC 4 covers and jewel cases.
We do try to learn from our mistakes.

Now get a load of these two:

Subject: Roxio Easy CD Creator Question (How many more can we handle?)

Upgraded my wife's machine to Windows XP. EZCD doesn't run. So I
update to the latest version. After fighting for hours I get it to run
on her pc. She goes to open one of many and I mean many cd image files
that were stored as .cl4. Guess what EZCD 5 will not read .cl4 files.
Or I don't seem to be able to find a way to make it read. I even tried
renaming the file to .cl5 which is the way EZCD saves the images as.

Are these guys out to make peoples lives miserable? Do they know what
the term "backward compatibility" means. They should have stayed in
the SCSI business.

I may not have answered your question correctly. *YES* I'd like to have
a copy if you can find it. I know the *rooting* game and know how much
time it can often take without Google's program on your HD. ;-)

Also, how can you send it to me without knowing who/what I are? Sorry,
forgot my RA was munged via Thunderbird:

Thanks,
Don
