Xbox 2 at CES in January?

Xbox 2 to be shown at CES in January? Posted by Curll on July 19 '04 at 12:29 PM On January 5th, 2001, Bill Gates unveiled the original Xbox at the Consumers Electronics Show. Next year's CES, taking play January 6-9, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada (Official site!), it appears that Microsoft will once again use the show to unveil its new gaming console. No details have emerged as to what capacity the machine will be shown, whether just tech demos or actual games or if it will just be mentioned or if it will be playable. That's merely speculation at this point, but, in some form, Xbox 2 will be at CES in January. Already known is that several companies are working on Xbox 2 titles. Aside from Microsoft's own studios, Electronic Arts is currently working on next-generation versions of their popular Need For Speed and Madden franchises. Other titles in the works include games from Digital Illusions CE, Climax, Starbreeze Studios, id Software, Ubisoft, Epic Games, and Microsoft's own FASA, Day 1 Studios, and Rare Ltd. __________________________________________________ _____________________________ also, the related TBX thread: http://forum.teamxbox.com/showthread...0&page=1&pp=15 |

The answer? No, of course not. But it has exactly as much validity as the
story below, which has absolutely no attribution and no source for the information that Xbox 2 will be shown "in some capacity" at CES (even though that capacity may merely be the mentioning of the machine in passing.) Another useless bit of bull**** speculation that would be virtually meaningless even if true, brought to you by your friendly neighborhood Cygnus-Man. -Z- R420 wrote: http://www.xblgamers.com/story.php?storyid=97 Xbox 2 to be shown at CES in January?
