What's the price on 8.7G DVD-R/W now?
What's the price on dual-layered 8.7G DVD-R or DVD-+R/W media now? I
still don't see them on local Bestbuy or CompUSA. Where can we get them? |

In many cases, a commercial DVD-9 movie can be bought from DeepDiscount DVD and similar sources for the same or less money. Larc §§§ - Change planet to earth to reply by email - §§§ |

Currently the manufacturers are having problems making dual layer discs cheaply. There are processes in development which will speed up production but I understand that discs produced using these new processes won't be available until early next year. Cheers. James. |

Fry's recently started carrying DVD+R DL media (from Verbatim, IIRC). They're not cheap: somewhere around $30-$35 for three discs in jewel boxes. (I suppose that's cheaper than what the very first CD-Rs cost, but that's not saying much.) _/_ / v \ Scott Alfter (remove the obvious to send mail) (IIGS( http://alfter.us/ Top-posting! \_^_/ rm -rf /bin/laden What's the most annoying thing on Usenet? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (Linux) iD8DBQFBZa8kVgTKos01OwkRAt1QAKCclIaUPOXyhNtUq4ynbk 04LezsCwCfUDYH HJOPjG9+5PgWfecKB3E+rsU= =O0L/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
