Default Yamaha 2200E and WIN2K

Anyone have any ideas why my yamaha drive isn't working properly with Win2K?
The drive reads just fine and plays audio. But I can't burn any CD's using
Nero 5.5 on W2K but I didn't have any issues with Win98.
Any Suggestions?

Thanks

Did you update Windows 98 or start from scratch with 2000. If the former,
then re-install Nero.

I installed W2K on a new partition - I completely blew my drive and
recreated the whole thing.

I may have to update Nero. If I can.

I updated Nero to 5.5.10... and it's working! I find it fascinating that
it's the program that runs the burner and not the burner itself.

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it!

Nero 5570 is the earliest version needed to run with the latest version of
the Yamaha firmware. I personally like version 5580 for those drives (like
yours) that it works with. This version runs fine under Windows 2000 and

XP.

Ensure that Nero has installed its ASPI file wnaspi32.dll in the program
files\ahead\nero folder.
Ensure that you have the correct serial if you are using an OEM version of
Nero.
