Default Nero 6: CD copy - can't set lower write speed

I want to copy a music CD but the only option is to write at 24X. I would
like to copy at 4X so that the CD plays on my hi-fi. Is there any way round
this?

I have Nero 6.3.1.25

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you mean that 24x is the only speed available in the drop-down box?
That seems unlikely for any medium, but if so you may be dealing with a
very strange blank.

If there is no setting for an appropriate, lower speed, then try what
you have but be sure to buffer, not copy on the fly. Another possibility
is not even to use the Copy option but to make a fresh layout as an
audio CD, dragging all tracks from the original disc. You certainly
should have a choice of speeds there.
