Default multisession discs: which track to choose to add files?

why are you prompted in nero to select a track to continue writing?

what difference does it make which track you select?

thanks,

Because Nero needs to know that information.

The answer for most people in most situations will be "the last
session".

what difference does it make which track you select?

The easiest way to get one's head wrapped around the concept (other
than reading a FAQ, of course) is to make a couple of multisession
DVDs on RW media and experiment. Try some continued from the last
available session, and some from a previous session.

The LAST one!

If you select an earlier session, you effectively discard any sessions
that came after it, as far as unassisted reading goes - still
recoverable with tools that can access sessions arbitrarily, of
course, so they are only masked, not deleted.
