Default Drag-to-Disc startup...NOT

Why would a product be made so as to require administrative privileges
in order for the Settings to changable? And why wouldn't the product
warn that settings changes will not take effect because of lack of
privileges? The latter would have saved months of trouble-shooting
(not full time, of course, but periodically). It all seems
so....well, there is no professional way to express it.

Users without administrative rights cannot access low level drivers
required for cd/dvd burning because Win xp/2k/Vista do not grant access
to low level drivers for users without administrative rights. But there
should be a note of some sort to that effect. Nero resolves the
administrative rights issue with BurnRights application which by default
grant 'burn rights' to all users.

Because Drag-to-Disc (DirectCD) is POS.

BTW, DirectCD is ditched by none other than the Roxio shill:

Subject: Best packetwriting software?

I have used only DCD for packet writing,
have had no problems due to the software
- but too many due to the format itself

to bother with it any longer.
======================

The above Mikey's statement is the first ever case in which a Shill
is rejecting the very product IT is shilling for.

With a Shill like this, Roxio doesn't need any critics!
