A virus will not cause your computer to crash in the manner you describe
(besides, if it /was/ a virus, you'd be posting in the wrong place - viruses
don't attack hardware, at least not in the manner you describe).

Besides, why aren't you invoking the warranty that came with tye system? All
manufacturers give you at least a year's warranty and you've only had the
thing a couple of months (at least I think that's what 'onhs' is supposed to
mean). If my two month old car started stalling, you think I'd post to a
newsgroup about it? No, I'd take it back to the dealer. Why should a PC be
any different?

You have a warranty - use it!
