Q: What type of Compaq notebook is mine?

Hi,
my notebook is labeled =844/25=93.
nothing more.

It has no PCMCIA, no trackball, no expansion port connector.
It has: internal floppy, hard disk, color display, German keyboard.

Finally, I am looking for infos about the parallel port. I want to=20
connect a Freecom PowerCD external CD-ROM drive - which does not work:
sometimes the driver discovers the drive, but mostly not.
Why?

Possibly a Compaq Contura 4/25. Is there a label of any kind on the
bottom with model and serial numbers?
