Burning ISO file to CD
On Sun, 9 Dec 2007 07:51:11 -0800 (PST), nemonow wrote in microsoft.public.win2000.setup:
I have ISO files that I want to burn to a CD. I used Nero 6.3 to burn each of them to a CD and the burns completed successfully. But when I try to read the CD using Windows Explorer, I get an error, "D:\ is not accessible Incorrect Function". Any idea of whether this is an error in reading the CD, burning the CD or with the original ISO file? Is there a way to unpack the ISO file without burning it to a CD? If I could do that, maybe I could burn it with all the separate files instead of from the the ISO file. AFAIK ISO files must be burned with Nero's menu item: Recorder / Burn Image... I think it's covered in Nero's Help system under "Burning the image file". -- Michael Bednarek http://mbednarek.com/ "POST NO BILLS" |

Isobuster will show contents of .iso file as if it had been burned to cd. You can extract but not sure how convenient this would be if many files. You shouldn't have a problem burning to cd, just make sure you're using correct menu item. Dave Cohen |

Burning ISO file to CD
[A complimentary Cc of this posting was sent to
nemonow ], who wrote in article : IsoBuster only extracts if you use the paid version. So now I can see that the files aren't what I expected, but I can't extract the files to see what they are. I have been trying other shareware programs and have not yet found one to do the job. It's not a $30 problem to me, so I may never find out what is in those files... isoinfo -l -i isoname.iso isoinfo -x FILENAME -i isoname.iso extracted_filename etc. Distributions are named `cdrtools' or `cdrecord'. Hope this helps, Ilya |
