Biostar tforce 6100 HT Settings
Will be overclocking a Sempron 64 2800+ on the Biostar tforce 6100, where
there is the normal HT setting in the overclocking screen, then in the advanced chipset screen there are NB--SB HT Speed The Choices: 4X (default).1X, 2X, 3X, 5X. NB--SB HT Speed The Choices: 4X (default).1X, 2X, 3X, 5X. Does anyone know if you're supposed to adjust these too? -- Ed Light Smiley :-/ MS Smiley :-\ Send spam to the FTC at Thanks, robots. Unless you plan on raising the FSB clock (CPU freq. or whatever they call it) over 250MHz just leave them at default. I'd lower both to 3x if going over 250 just to be on the safe side. I didn't look, but I assume this board uses the NF3 250 or newer chipset. It's perfectly capable of 1000Mtps HT speed (both ways). I just overclocked a Sempron 2800+ on an ECS Nforce3-A board by just raising the clock to 233MHz without any other changes. Wait, I may have raised vcore by a very small % just to be safe. -- Want the ultimate in free OTA SD/HDTV Recorder? http://mythtv.org http://mysettopbox.tv/knoppmyth.html Usenet alt.video.ptv.mythtv My server http://wesnewell.no-ip.com/cpu.php HD Tivo S3 compared http://wesnewell.no-ip.com/mythtivo.htm |

What kind of ram are you using ? We dunnit. The ram is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231021 It was on sale for $155. First at stock speeds I set the memory to 250 to force the loose timings. Then I looked at them after rebooting and they looked good. So I set the memory to manual to lock the timings. Then I set the memory to 166, clock to 300, cpu to 1.5v, and the ht in all three places to 3x (Regular ht, nb to sb and sb to nb). By golly she did p95 overnight. At 40C on the stock heatsink. That raised World of Warcraft on the motherboard's video up from 14 to 20 fps. cpu is at 2400, memory is at 240, ht is at 900. Multiplier is non-changeably 8x. I found a guy at hardforum.com that could answer my original question. He changed the ht between the bridges too and got higher on the clock. -- Ed Light Smiley :-/ MS Smiley :-\ Send spam to the FTC at Thanks, robots.
