Default Looking for a PCI card capable of 1280X768

Hi,

Your post takes me back a few years (nearly 5!) when I bought an
Iiyama monitor capable of a 'UXGA' 1600x1200 display. Basically there
are a few select resolutions that have been adopted by the
monitor/gcard vendors and yours is not one of them, roughly speaking:

VGA 640x480 SVGA 800x600 XGA 1024x768 SXGA 1280x960 UXGA 1600x1200

so 1280x768 is something of a hybrid (like 1152x960), my advice would
be to check for the best match from the above list as you don't always
get the additional resolutions. If you can get a card on
'sale-or-return' then you could test this further.

Regards,
