Default Disable WIA Driver

I am trying to run a Visioneer xp200 and xp 450 on the same computer. I am
using Windows xp

Someone on here told me to disable one when I wanted to use the other and I
think that logic will work, however xp will not recognize the twain drivers
for the xp 200.

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

TIA

Default Disable WIA Driver

Hi Tim,

I remember that post from Paul. I agree with his suggestion - but at
the time, I understood his post as suggesting the disabling of only the
device via device manager- not the Windows Imaging Acquisistion (WIA)
service. Typically, with any usb imaging device, if the device is
enabled through device manager, and the WIA service is running (which
is default with XP) then the correct twain driver should be available
through your application.. (this may take a moment or two depending on
your pc) . You should have a file in c:\windows\twain_32\visioneer
(don't quote me on the visioneer subdirectory... but you'll see
something close there) with the file extension .ds if the OS has
properly detected the scanner. This would also confirm that the
datasource should be available in your twain application.

hope it helps

Danny
