Default $50- add or replace?

I currently have a single 7900gs and I could pick up a second 7900gs
and put them in SLI mode (have SLI bridge) or I could sell my 7900gs
for about 50 and get something much better than a dual 7900 for under
$100.

Suggestion? Thanks for advices.

You're not going to get a much faster card for less than $100,
unfortunately. And, the $50 you'd spend on another 7900gs would probably
not be worth it either. SLI will only give you ~30% more performance for
the most part, as not all games are written to fully take advantage of it.
So.. if I were you I'd save my pennies and get a new faster single card.

http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/02/...february_2008/

That's a very good guide. Pay attention to the table at the end of the
article that lists most video cards. As he says in the article, if you
aren't buying a new card that is at least three tiers higher than your
current one, it's probably not worth it - the performance gains will be
minimal. From where your card is, you should at least get an nVidia 8800GS
or 9600GT or better, to get noticeable performance improvements.

RF.
