Again with the quick restore

Current Setup

hda0 NTFS 15 gigs WinXP Home
hda1 NTFS 55.5 gigs Data storage
hda2 Fat32 4 gig Compaq Restore files (hidden, partition magic)
hdb0 NTFS 5 gigs Win2k
hdb1 Fat32 15gigs File Storage
hdb2 EXT3 19 gigs Mandrake 9.1
hdb3 SWAP 1 gig Swap

So its time to reinstall XP home, If this was straight off a MS CD
I'd have no problems doing it. I've never installed a OS from a
"restore" CD. As you can see the set up is a little different than
Compaq ever expected. I have the Quick Restore CD, 1 disc, and the 4
disc Recovery CD set. All I want to do is reinstall XP on hda0. I
don't want to touch anything else. Can I do it with the recovery CD,
or will it throw a fit with all thoes partitions? I'll probally
disconect hdb when I do this, and I'll backup all the data from hda1,
but what I need to know is will the recovery CD work or am I going to
have to go get a copy of XP from somewhere?

BTW, I am also thinking of putting an install of Win9x somewhere in
there, mostlikely somewhere on hdb. Generally the rule is 9x has to
go on the HD first before all the other OS's. But does it absolutly
have to? Anyone done this before? even if I have to boot from a
floppy its not a big deal, any suggestions?
