Stan - you are right that the absolute best deal is Hobbicolors because,
in
addition to good ink, they include the virgin carts. Also, their carts
are
already set up for refilling so a newbie won't have to deal with making
and
sealing a fill hole. I bought their introductory kit at one time for the
carts alone and gave the ink away.- Hide quoted text -

Burt,
Why did you give away the ink? Does that mean that you know that
Image Specials ink is closer to OEM then Hobbicolor?

Stan

I am happy with MIS inks and didn't want to go through the process of
purging ink out of the printhead and figuring out which settings would work
best with a different ink set. I have a friend, a participant on this NG,
who was very happy with Hobbicolors inks, so I mailed them to him. The fact
is that even with the increase in price of MIS inks, I save so much over the
cost of OEM that I don't feel the need to seek out the absolute lowest
price ink. I will probably buy from the link I mentioned as they do
identify their inks as IS and MIS Canon inks are most probably IS as well.

re-posted them and made the statement you just made.
Friendly advice.

Frank,
Your here. I'm so happy. I need help. When I print pictures of
people with black hair, the black hair (when using Hobbicolors) tend
to turn grey.

I got 2 suggestions already.....1 to use photoshop (way to expensive)
and, 2 to use a color management program (i don't know where they sell
them).

Do you have any suggestions? I know that you have used Hobbicolors.
Frank, Please help!!!!

Thanks,
stan
