Does anyone know of a UK seller of SilenX products?

I researched this extensively a couple of months ago when I was
seeking to quieten down my PC.

In the end because I couldn't find any local supplier I just bought
the stuff direct from SilenX.com in the US, and I couldn't be happier.
They are very helpful if you have any questions, and shipping is fast
and reasonably priced.

I bought the 400w A-PFC PSU and a couple of their 14dBA fans. The fans
aren't much to shout about - you could acheive the same result by
undervolting a locally available Panaflow or something similar, but
the PSU truly is a work of art. It is INCREDIBLY silent. All PSUs that
I've seen which claim to be "silent" are actually "quiet". This one IS
silent.

I was a bit worried about overheating (in the quest for silent
computing my system runs scorchingly hot), but the system has been on
virtually 24/7 for a number of weeks now and the PSU has been
rock-solid. I'm very happy with it, and glad I took the risk of buying
it.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Amendment:

I've just been on the SilenX website and there is a new UK-based
supplier of some of their products.

URL: http://www.soadvanced.com

Though, if you wish you may still order it direct from them. Again,
their customer service is superb (not sure about this soadvanced
outfit).

Hello Rudi

Thank you for your response, and the information. When I looked on the
SilenX web site I missed seeing the part that says "International Sales"
with its lead to Soadvanced.

I shall probably start by replacing a case fan. My existing one is 32 cfm at
27.8dB(A), the SilenX one is 28cfm at 14.4dB(A). So I shall hope the cfm
reduction will not significantly affect the system. Then it may well be on
to the big job, that of replacing the PSU.

Regards
