Default HP Pavilion Question

I want to upgrade the memory on my daughters Pavilion N3310. It's got
sockets for 2 sticks, and right now it has one, a PC100 64mb 144 pin. Can
I add a PC133 128m or 256m stick to that, or am I limited to PC 100? PC
133 seems to be more readily available, but I want to make sure it will
work before I buy it. Any other RAM upgrade options?

Also, is it feasible to replace the hard drive myself? She's has a 5G
drive, and it's about 80% full. I've built several desktops, and done
lot's of upgrades on them, but never messed with a laptop before.

The processor is a K-6 500 mghz, and she's running Win98.

Thanks,

Jack

Use the Crucial RAM finder,

Why not buy a Cdr/W drive and get her to save stuff off the hard drive
to free up space. They are cheap and fun and then you have hard copies
to keep

Another option, one my daughter is considering with a Dell laptop, is
to add a USB hard drive as a slave.
FWIW
