HP 1120C problem-printer stops mid page, LED starts flashing

I recently rebuilt my computers and am now running Win2KPro. Within a few
months, not right away, a problem developed with a printer I've been using a
few years now. It's an HP1120C. What it does is when I'm trying to print
large files, like any multiple page pdf file or multiple copies of CorelDraw
cdr files, the printer stops mid page before the job is done, the yellow,
resume button LED starts flashing and a dialogue box comes up suggesting I'm
using a special printing option (I'm not.) Anyway I have to purge the
printer and recycle it before I can print again. There are some pdf's I
just cant print all of. Even trying to print them a page at a time.

I can think of no software conflicts and I can't find a memory buffer to
tweak, which is what this seems like.

Anybody else have this issue or have an idea about a possible solution?
