Default Backup Software Impact on Performance?

I searched through this newsgroup and couldn't find any info on the
impact that backup software has on backup times/restores. I'd be
interested to see if the software (ie. Legato, CA, Veritas, Commvault,
Tivoli, etc.) has an impact when tested with identical hardware
(server/storage) and identical datasets.

If you have a comparison chart, please email it to .

Thanks in advance.

Robert
