Powering down & Power L.E.D flashing
I just brought and setup an AMD Athlon 64 3400+ processer along with a
MSI K8T Neo.. however when i power up the system runs fine for about 20 seconds or so then it switches off and the Power L.E.D starts flashing, i've tried disconnecting the power cable and trying again, the same complication is repeated... How do i go about fixing this problem and/or what is the obvious cause/reason for such ? |

How do i go about fixing this problem and/or what is the obvious cause/reason for such ? Did you use thermal paste (or a thermal pad) between the processor and its heatsink? Is the processor's fan spinning? How about any other fans (that have an RPM signal)? Is the power supply wattage capable of handling the load? Have you tried unplugging all expansion cards, except video, and all drives (except one of them), all USB devices, etc., to minimize the load to see if the system then boots okay? -- __________________________________________________ _______________ ******** Post replies to newsgroup - Share with others ******** Email: lh_811newsATyahooDOTcom and append "=NEWS=" to Subject. __________________________________________________ _______________ |
