Default fan noise

I have just built a set-top PC using the EPIA M10000 board. It would
have been a complete silent PC if it weren't for the single 40mm CPU
fan. This fan spins at 6800rpm regardless of CPU temp, and is creating
more noise than I would like in a set-top box.

Anyone have experience with noise reduction for this mobo?

Replace it with a 80mm fan.

That will be quiet enough, you got the room ?

Don't Sunon make 40mm vapo bearing fans? Would those move enough air
when the CPU gets hot?

The easiest solution would be to pick yourself up one of those little single
fan speed controllers.
