hp 990cxi colour problem
Green is printed as a mixture or cyan and yellow. Try to determine which
color don't work. Do a cleaning cycle, except from cleaning will show you which "primary" colors don't print (cyan, magenta-fuchsia, yellow). I suppose it is just a color cartridge problem. -- Yianni (remove number nine to reply) -- "Toby Austin" wrote in message s.com... My hp 990xci has started to print colours incorrectly. I did some tests and it no longer prints green. I have 1) changed both the colour and black + white cartridges, 2) uninstalled the drivers and installed the latest from hp's website 3) run all the troubleshooting diagnostics to clean heads etc. Anyone any ideas before I get a new printer? |

My guess is that your "new" cartridge was really old, beyond its shelf life. Start by printing a diagnostic self test page as shown at the following: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printer...html#P128_4385 There should be nozzle patterns of black, cyan, magenta and yellow. If one of the colors is missing check the cartridge warranty as shown at the following: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printer.../bpa02014.html If the cartridge are within their warranty period contact HP or your dealer for a replacement. If the cartridge is beyond the two year warranty period then replace it with a fresh cartridge. When buying a new cartridge look for the "install by" date on the box. I would look for an install by date at least six months in the future. Regards, Bob Headrick, not speaking for my employer HP |
