Directx 8 v directx 9
Hi.
Does anybody have a link which compares a directx9 games running in directx 8 mode. I'm interest in seeing the visual quality difference between the two modes. The reason I ask i that I have just brought Max Payne 2 and have a radeon 8500 which handles the games admirably at full graphics. Just curious to know what the game would look like on a 9500 or above. TIA Dan |

But the OP is asking about running DX9 titles on DX8-class hardware (with the DX9 runtime installed, of course). Whether the DX9 eye candy makes it worth upgrading to a DX9-class card. |
