Buying components on ebay can be quite a gamble. First of all it would
depend upon whether you are buying from a sole user or a business
advertising components.

If it's a sole user then you don't have any real guarantee that the
components are in A1 condition and I'm unsure as to what options would
be open to you if the goods turned out to be faulty, i.e. can you
return them? Is he/she obliged to replace them?

If it's a Business then it's usually better to visit their website and
purchase them from there, at least then you will have the full
protection of the usual trading laws.

If you want any assurances then look at their feedback, and how many
transactions they have made previously... this is always a good sign!
Personally I've purchased a number of goods from e-bay and have always
been very happy, but then my purchases have never stretched to more
than £200! The item you are looking at is a very good one, but notice
that it has a reserve price... the likelyhood is that the vendor is
simply trying to get more cash than it's actually worth! Look at other
internet sites for a cheaper price and DON'T bid more than that, at
least then you know you can always get it cheaper elsewhere!

If you want some good sites to visit for new computer parts then
please try:

www.overclockers.co.uk

Happy Shopping

Glynn
