I had to use this registry tweak in order to get the "upgrade" version to
work, but I'm not really sure why plextor would not want plextor 708a owners
to use this excellent software. Perhaps they are worried about people with
other brands of burner trying to use plextools and then being inundated with
complaints when it does not work with their drives. Perhaps they have an
agreement with roxio that they would not supply any non-roxio burning
software as part of the bundle, as I expect they must get a large amount of
cash from roxio for bundling their trial software.
