Default Reading a "whole" CD-RW with cdrdao?

Hello,

I have noticed something using cdrdao. I can create CD-R and CD-RW, and
I can mount them and read the data. I could also make audio CDs,
readable on devices that can wrk with the CD-R or with CD-RW.

I can also read the written CD-R back "as a whole image" of the
sessions, with cdrdao read-cd. But when I try this with a written
CD-RW, the computer tries to read it endlessly (and, additionally,
everything on the computer becomes slow). Why is it so? Does make
sense to try reading such CDs at all?

What I wanted to do were some experiments with different settings,
e.g. how the computer behaves when there are track 1 pregaps. I didn't
want to burn a CD-R just for this experiments.

Bye,
Guentcho
