LiteOn LTC-4816H overheat?
My LiteOn LTC-4816H combo drive (48/24/48/16) suddenly has major
problems playing DVDs. It's in a sff system (Asus Pundit to be exact) that puts the hdd directly below the optical drive and is known to cause drives to run warm (~45C). Could the longterm exposure to this heat have caused this problem? I can still read and write CDs just fine, but DVDs choke, breakup, and freeze. |

If your other drive functions work OK I doubt it is heat problems. All disk
drives get hot. Combo drives are crap though, I would get a seperate DVD and CD-RW drive. "Indiana" wrote in message ...
