Refilling carts and recognition
A friend recently refilled his printer cartridge (Lexmark) but the printer will not print - it seems to want another cart. He noticed that a file Lx-Cats contains files that contain cartID's and maxcartPages. If he changed these would the printer accept the refilled cart? Thanks |

I don't think anyone will argue that Google , as a search engine has
some helpful features and is relatively easy to access in most corners of the world these days. However, most people who own internet connected computers are aware of Google. If they ask a question, I doubt for the most part that the are seeking an answer like "go to Google.com" Since this is a printers peripheral group, it is not odd that people may ask about them within it. There are a number of people with relatively good knowledge in the areas of HP inkjet printers, Epson inkjet printers, Canon Ink jets, Laser printers, Xerox laser printers, etc. Google is great. but does not always rapidly make the solution available. That's why these forums exist. Art If you are interested in issues surrounding e-waste, I invite you to enter the discussion at my blog: http://e-trashtalk.spaces.live.com/ Joel wrote: anon_private wrote: A friend recently refilled his printer cartridge (Lexmark) but the printer will not print - it seems to want another cart. You need to ask your friend about the model, more detail of what s/he does, then GOOGLE for the answer. Thanks |

But Google does not have a bunch of idots who profess that people ruin their printers and accept substandard results just to spend less money. Thanks |

This comment coming from a moron that uses compatible photo paper is about worthless. Besides, I would think the village idiot would know how to spell "idiot", but then again, that is one of the ironies that shows us why you are our village idiot. |
