OT Your own personal weather radar (USA)
Worth mentioning again IMO. WeatherScope is free to PC users
(probably still $10 for smart phones). It is ultra configurable. Naturally I use a black background with mostly white lines (for streets, city and state boundaries, etc). The rain shows up as various colors from green to red. If you live in a particular area, you can see bats coming out of their caves in the evening, looks like smoke rings. That's something you probably never see on TV weather show radar. I have used the app regularly for many years. It does take some time to learn how to configure it. The smartphone pay version requires little configuring. The program is from some university in Oklahoma. |
