nytimes: report says: Dell "very poor" in customer service (2008)
I've had only good experiences with Dell service.
Maybe it's knowing how to persist and how to be polite. Maybe it's knowing what's reasonable and what's not, too. Always work by chat line, not phone. -- On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk.
