Default "class installer has denied rewquest...." - installing spacecam 120 drivers

Hello,

I have done a fair bit of research into my problem to no avail,
perhaps someone has the definitive answer:-

I have XP pro and had a Trust spacecam 120 working fine. I moved house
and for some reason when I reconnected things it no longer worked. So
I uninstalled driver and then reinstalled but now I get:

"The class installer has denied the request to install or upgrade this
device"

What does this mean? The camera shows up under imaging devices with a
"!" next to it. reinstalling driver does not help. unplugging device,
reinstalling drivers and plugging back in the camera also fails...

I am logged in with Admin privilages and have the latest XP driver
file.

Any clues to the meaning of this error?

ta!

OK fixed it, heres what was wrong for anyone who might find the info
useful:

the registry entries made by the webcam driver strangely could only be
deleteed by the Administrator, however - I was logged in as a user who
was a member of the Admin group but for some reason only the actual
Administrator user could remove the entries... dunno why that was...
Anyway, after manually removing the registry entries and reinstalling
the driver there were no problems!

checking the setupapi.log file that XP uses is definately a great help
diagnosing driver instllation problems.
