I was just thinking how wonderful life was, when Tx2
opened his gob and said: Well we differ, because I don't, hence why I don't want to be included in the "we". Do you have such a high opinion of yourself that you think you were included in a "we" before you appeared in this thread :-p? I'm not the King or PM where a "we" means **everybody**. -- Cheers, Guy ** Stress - the condition brought about by having to ** resist the temptation to beat the living daylights ** out of someone who richly deserves it. |

Me too; they appear to be a legitimate business, which means they bought our addresses from someone. They originally got their lists from Tekheads, via their mutual website designers 7soft or global7 or whatever they're calling themselves now. James Dobson is the proprietor of that outfit, and Glen Wallin is the spamming scumbag at zebra. Ahhh...I couldn't remember what the th@ stood for (in the email address they sent the spam to). OK...so as I now know or "we" now know who is to blame, let the battle commence. MC |

He does not mind spam so will take offence. -- Cheers, Guy ** Stress - the condition brought about by having to ** resist the temptation to beat the living daylights ** out of someone who richly deserves it. |

Hi all, I have sent a polite email to requesting no further emails. If I get anymore, I shall post the home address of the MD here so he can read about how ****ed off we are over his cornflakes. Isn't sending a reply telling the spammers that the target account (yours) is active? |

James Dobson is the proprietor of that outfit, and Glen Wallin is the spamming scumbag at zebra. So who is to blame ... Tekheads or the web company they used? Look at it this way - tekheads sold your data to someone - without your explicit consent. There is no tickbox on the tekheads "Your Account" section which either allows or denies them permission to sell on your contact details. When you engage with a company, using their services, I think they can use your email address by what's known as an "implicit opt-in" ("by using our services, you agree..."). I don't think you can legitimately sell on someone's information from an implicit opt-in - it has to be explicit ("please tick this box if you wish to receive information from our selected partners").... |

Look at it this way - tekheads sold your data to someone ... Sorry for the double post. I thought I'd paste this from the tekheads - http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/articles?article=5 "Your information will not be shared with individual or other companies (such as direct mail organizations or other third parties) unless required by law." I don't know what happens now. They're not standing by their privacy policy. Isn't that breach of the Data Protection Act or something? |
