Default Video card upgrade

I would like to upgrade my current FX 55200 AGP, 128 ram card to something
faster that I can occasionally play Half Life 2 and Quake 4 at a higher
resolution. I have a Dell 4600 3.0 GHz, 512 mg ram with a 250 watt power
supply. I understand allot of the newer AGP cards like the BFG 6600 AGP OC
require a higher wattage power supply.

Thank you,
Lex

You're right about the power supply. Also another 512megs ram will help.
And a 6600GT will give much better performance than the FX card.

I have a similar system, 250W power, just upgraded to the 6600GT with fine
results, same old power supply. Got the AGP version from newegg, nothin
simpler
