PCI and PCMCIA?
I am waiting delivery of a 4600 desktop. My very old desktop had neither
slot. I have a PCMCIA slot on my laptop but I have never seen a PCI slot. Are they "compatible". For example can I use the cardreader which I use in the laptop's PCMCIA slot also be used in the desktop's PCI slot? Doug |

The PCI slots hold your cards such as a modem, sound card, etc.

You CAN get a PCI card that has a PCMCIA slot out the back of your computer.
Very inconvenient. Just buy a cheap card reader. Make SURE it is USB2. Tom "joe_tide" wrote in message ...
