Default Can someone explain why my Pendrive cap diminished ?

Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8 Gb USB, brand new.

I looked at properties, and it said
FAT 32
Total Cap 7.896.956.928 bytes

But there was some "SanDiskSecureAccess" software and PDFs, so I
right-clicked and formatted FAT32

In properties:
FAT 32
Total Cap 7.885.389.824 bytes

I'm not worried about losing 11.03 Mb, I just want to understand where
the 11.567.104 bytes went. Is this a "feature", or do I have some
secret malware partition/rootkit ?
An OS-independent malware scan from a Kaspersky boot disk shows
nothing.
Is there an utility to format it back to the original size ? I
tried HP FormatTool_v2.2.3 and the latest Rufus, but neither increased
cap.
TIA

Feedback. (Thanks to the help from the alt.comp.freeware
guys).
Sandisk formats the 8GB thumbdrives with 16KB per cluster, vs
the 4KB Microsoft standard.
Got my space back with the "RUFUS" formatting tool.
