Default Madden 2004 -- lockup?

For the life of me I can't get Madden 2004 working with an older Radeon AIW
/w latest drivers installed. No problems with other games, but this one
crashes shortly after startup.

Try re-naming the game's music directory to "nomusic". This is a
known issue.

I have an 8500 and it locks up after a few minutes of game play.

My son has my old ATI 8500 64mg and the game runs great. He has a PIII 850
with 512 of memory and the game runs fine as it does on my P4 2.4.

Disable the secondary display (TV or monitor).
