Deskjet 450 has problems feeding its letter sized papers.
Hi.
My client has a very old portable/mobile HP Deskjet 450 has problems feeding its letter sized (8.5" x 11") papers a lot. Almost each sheet gets stuck/jammed or doesn't feed at all. Is there a way to fix this issue? If no fixes, then is there another printer that can use its 56 and 57 inks (he bought too many and doesn't want to toss them)? Thank you in advance. -- "I do not believe that the Great Society is the ordered, changeless and sterile battalion of the ants. Is there a way to fix this issue? You can see about trying to clean the rollers. If you Google or check HP, you can find detailed info for your particular model. Typically, you would use some water (preferably very clean, distilled water) to wipe down the pick-up rollers. You may need to rotate them to get all around, but you need to be careful in that they may only properly roll one way. Thanks. I found these two far related to the D-shaped rollers that need to be cleaned according to these links. They are long and tedious: http://www.ehow.com/how_6827896_pape...skjet-450.html http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/inkjet/44350 If no fixes, then is there another printer that can use its 56 and 57 inks (he bought too many and doesn't want to toss them)? If you check sites for what models use those cartridges, you can figure out what model to replace it with. Nothing new probably uses them, but you might find used models on eBay or similar. Thanks. I found the list on http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/hom...atibleprinters .... I assume all those printers are very old too. Do adapters exist to reuse these old ink cartrdiges for the newer printer models? -- "You'd think we could just attract ants like normal people." --Wolverine (X-Men:TAS) /\___/\ Ant(Dude) @ http://antfarm.ma.cx (Personal Web Site) / /\ /\ \ Ant's Quality Foraged Links: http://aqfl.net | |o o| | \ _ / If crediting, then use Ant nickname and AQFL URL/link.
