Some Lexmark Facts.
Dunno. I've learned to avoid this company.
I had a good experience with one of their managers who sent me a special cable for the ergonomic keyboard that Lexmark inherited from IBM. Then, I discovered that they'd discontinued the product and farmed out all support to a third party, who refused to sell parts. Lexmark's attitude about this was, 'Tough. We're not responsible to you.' My son's nicely-reviewed ink printer kept paper-jamming. I felt that the machine was designed to feed paper too quickly in order to produce a specification that looks great in print. I'm very leery of machines that run so fast that they'll rip themselves apart. I can't say this about this particular printer, but I have experienced other printers that have failed for this reason. A fantastic speed specification may have a nasty explanation behind that spec. What I've read about their cartridge replacement policy has utterly turned me off. That's restraint of trade, and the last time that I looked, that was illegal. |
