Will an 8x AGP graphics card work in a 4x AGP mainboard ?
Hi, in general will an 8x AGP graphics card still be able to work in a 4x
AGP mainboard? I'm wanting to upgrade the graphics card of a Compaq desktop PC, which is about 9 years old. The mainboard of it has AGP version 2.0, max supported transfer rate of 4x. What are the chance of this 8x AGP graphics card working? VTX3D 512MB Radeon HD 3450 AGP Graphics Card http://www.amazon.co.uk/VTX3D-512MB-...dp/B003WW5ZMG/ Cheers.
