nVida 6600 256mb & Splinter Cell Games - Problem
First, video specs: GeForce 6600, 256mb, nVida Forceware 91.47,
DirectX 9.0c I play the 3 "Splinter Cell" series games: 1) "Splinter Cell" 2) "splinter Cell - Pandora Tomorrow" 3) "Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory" I've had all 3 games since they came out. When I was using my old GeForce 5400 with DirectX 8x all 3 had no video problems. But when I played these game with my current video specs there is a problem in (and this is important) games 1 & 2 only. All 3 games have missions that include spotlights and you should see the light beams sweep the area. Examples: game-1, a fenced-in yard at a meat packing plant; game-2, rooftop on the way to penetrate a TV station, game-3, flying robots in Korea. In games 1 & 2 you do not see the spotlight beams, in game 3 you do. Reminder, this is with the same hardware and drivers. So, is there anyone else out there that players games 1 & 2 with a GeForce 6600? Do you see this problem? And, yes, I've contacted both UBI & nVidia. UBI blew me off with "canned answers" and nVida has not answered yet. -- ==== Tecknomage ==== Do the best you can..... then let it go. |
