Default System failed due to overclocking?

Hi all, here is a bit of a stumper for me. My system:Asus a7n8x deluxe,
barton 2500+at 210*11.5, 1.85 volts (cpu on water 35C) matched 2.0cas ddr
from corsair at 420mhz. System works just fine all day, totaly stable and
all. When i shut it right off and boot it up again I have to reset it a few
times and when it comes on it says system failed due to overclocking, it
then takes me to the bios so i can adjust the settings, (overclocked
settings still in). At this point i just exit and reboot and it works fine
at the overclocked settings... Thanks to anyone who can figure this out...
