Default Can't fully uninstall ATI stuff from 64-bit Windows 7...

Hello.

What is/are the best way(s) to fully uninstall/clean out ATI Catalyst
drivers from an updated 64-bit W7 HP on my year old Optiplex office
machine with an ATI Radeon 3550(?) [came with the computer so don't know
if it is onboard or not]?

I tried to upgrade its ATI driver to the latest Catalyst driver, but it
gave me errors in Windows (can't remember what they said). I am having
weird, random and rare slow downs and freezes (can be minutes long --
almost like PC locked up but it recovers), Catalyst Control Center (CCC)
doesn't launch (no system tray either), etc. I couldn't even tell what
driver I was using through Device Manager. I do see updated files in ATI
directories/folders.

I tried to uninstall all ATI and reboot, but I still see CCC in my
desktop's right click. I still see ATI directories/folders and files.
Reinstalling the latest driver doesn't fix the problems. Where can I get
free uninstallers (DriverCleaner is NOT free) to clean up ATI mess
fully?

Thank you in advance.

I always click "ATI Installer Utility", then carefully selected the
graphics stuff to uninstall them.

Go to Device Manager, manually uninstall any Display Adaptor, reboot and
try again.

Uh, where is that? I didn't see that. I saw its install manager. Is that
it? If so, then I used express uninstall.

I did that too.

Yes. So it didn't work? In that case, install the *same driver* again
and click the Manager again to remove it.

Yeah, express uninstall didn't work. I couldn't even delete ATI
folder/directories. Unlocker tool says Explorer was still using it. I
did finally get the old Catalyst out with the instructions in
http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33935544 ... Basically,
safe mode, Driver Sweeper (ATI only), and CCleaner v3 (ATI registry left
overs).
