BrightStor ARCServe 9 Linux Agent
Hi,
trying to get the arcserve 9 linux agent to correctly communicate with the Windows version of arcserve. Did the install as per instructions (untar, run ./install, uagent start), and then hopped onto the windows box that manages backups. I was able to do an auto discovery for "UNIX systems", which brought up the linux box i had installed the client on, but I have two major issues that are preventing things from working: the machine's ip address is listed as 127.0.0.1 (and if you change it to the actual ip address of the box it times out) i'm presented with a login dialog, and it doesnt matter what local user account i use the console i get the same error "Failed to login to the Agent". I've even tried the -NOPASSWORD option... Am I missing something? Cheers Greg |
