Default BAD Monarch Computer Experience?

Has anyone out there had to dispute a charge with Monarch Computer due
to bad service or defective merchandise? If so, please let me know. I
want to hear some experiences.

Either post here or email me at mistermeatball(at)fastmail(dot)fm

Thankyou.

I'm in the middle of something that could lead to it. If they continue
jerking me around and refusing to communicate I'll let you know the
details. It is sad when a good company, or at least one that has been
good in the past, suddenly changes for the worse. I've seen it happen to
so many that I never seem to develop any loyalty to any vendor because
most don't remain in the "good guys" category long enough.

I just purchased from monarch a few days ago for the first time and it was a
hassle getting my order processed just because my shipping address was
different from billing address. I have p.o. boxes where I live so I have the
p.o. box listed where i want my bill to go. And monarch replied that I
should just add my physical address. Well i contacted my
bank and they said that they are unable to do that unless I want that to be
my new billing address which would make it very hard for the usps to find
me.

So after about a week of going back and forth they suggested that it be
delivered to the nearest fedex hub. Since its nearby i was ok with it.I
still went ahead with my order since it was a good deal. But I may spend the
extra money next time not to have to wait 2 weeks for my order.

I have never had to do that with any other online retailer ive dealt with.
Newegg, zipzoomfly, amazon have all been great.

Newegg makes you call the CC company and add any alternate addresses you
might want to ship to, and while not that big a deal it isn't completely
hassle free. Amazon on the other hand couldn't care less which is
definitely convenient.

See if you can use the zip+ format, which is basically physical
adderss, zip + Po Box #. That way, if something is sent by mail, even
though it has your physical address, the PO will put it in your box
(Which they know from the zip + format), and the physical address will
be used by ups, fedex, ect

That's the unfortunate side effect of trying to save a little $$$s. I
use Newegg and ABS computers exclusively, and although they cost a
little more (Maybe with ABS, not so little anymore), and have had no
problems, even when I made mistakes. The profit margin for many of the
smaller businesses is so small that it's not suprizing that they are
not 100% up to snuff.

Sound like it might be convenient for a scammer to. Remember it's the
merchant who eats the charge when someone steal your CC number

Yep.That's a no no. Everyone knows that having a different billing addy from
the shipping addy is a problem. It's understandable because of the massive
problem of credit card fraud.
