Default deskpro en 6400 how do i remove the compaq splash screen and system id info?

If you are referring to the Compaq splash screen, you cannot remove it. It
is in the BIOS EEPROM and is non-removeable. Dunno about the other.

It's very doubtful that the DeskPro EN 6400 motherboard was made by Intel.
AFAIK, Compaq has relied on 3rd party contract electronics manufacturers like
Mitac to fabricate motherboards and assemble systems. Flashing the motherboard
with an Intel BIOS, if successfully completed, would very likely turn the board
into a useless hunk of electronic scrap. The motherboard very likely uses an
Intel chipset, typical of higher end Compaq DeskPros (compared to the low-end
consumer grade Presario electro-trash)... Ben Myers

Sure, you can use a BIOS from Intel, or any other motherboard mfgr *IF* you
are willing to risk turning thre PC into an unbootable doorstop. The only
safe BIOS flash is one from Compaq listed for your specific model.

You should be able to remove the 'system tag string' in F10 setup. The
splash is permanent.
